Essentials About Me
Academics
Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Statistics at the University of Oxford. Graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from Bocconi University. Completed an exchange semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a 4.0/4.0 GPA.
Industry
Completed a 6-month data science internship at Amazon Luxembourg and a 3-month cybersecurity internship at Deloitte Italy, both during my bachelor's term time.
Extracurriculars
Co-founded and led Bocconi Students for Machine Learning, and participated in several other university associations. I'm also a member of some mentorship and talent networks.
Research Interests
Both at Amazon and in my undergraduate thesis, I explored the application of machine learning and advanced statistical techniques (mainly Bayesian Optimisation) to optimise database systems, which are complex, expensive-to evaluate, black-box functions. Additionally, I employed network science to model web page interconnectivity at Bocconi Students for Machine Learning.
